15kV Insulation Resistance Meter - Overview

The MIC-15k1 meter is designed to measure the insulation resistance of power objects up to 15kV, i.e. single and multicore cables, transformers, motors and generators, capacitors, switches, and other devices installed in power stations. It is especially recommended for measurements in areas with very high electromagnetic disturbances, e.g. electrical substations with 1200 kV AC and 500 kV DC. Thanks to the 15 kV measuring voltage (in accordance with ANSI / NETA ATS-2009 TABLES 100.1) the meter can be used for measuring objects with a nominal voltage above 34.5 kV.

15kV Insulation Resistance Meter - Features

    • Diagnostics of insulation systems based on standard measurements of IR, DAR, PI, SV, RT, and DD, widened with the partial discharge (PD) indicator for each of these measurements
    • Testing the electrical durability of tested object - breakdown voltage indication

  • Turns Ratio and Winding Resistance Analyser | TWR-250B

Turns Ratio and Winding Resistance Analyser - Overview

This analyser is battery-operated and is designed for measuring transformer winding resistance and turns ratio. It is capable of testing six transformer windings with a single cable connection, as well as three-phase automatic transformer demagnetisation. It has the option of automated test mode, where the instrument operates the tap changer without operator input (minimising the risk of human error) and records winding resistance and turns ratio results based on pre-selected criteria. This also measures excitation current and phase shift. This enables detecting transformer core or winding turns failures which cannot be spotted by measuring turns ratio only. It has a built-in true three-phase power source so it can test transformers with special configurations, such as phase-shifting, rectifiers, arc-furnace, traction transformers. The instrument can output test current up to 25 A DC for winding resistance tests and voltage up to 250 V AC for turns ratio tests, but it can also output a very low-test voltage of 1 V AC, which is necessary for turns ratio verification of the majority of current transformers. It has a large 10.1” graphical touch-screen display with test templates and automatic test mode. Users can create test templates, store and load them with just a few clicks.

  • Handheld Winding Ohm Meter RMO-TH Series

Handheld Winding Ohm Meter | RMO-TH Series

Handheld Winding Ohm Meter - Overview

The handheld winding ohm meter device is a DV Power single-phase instrument specially designed for measuring transformer winding resistance and performing transformer demagnetisation. Winding resistance is determined by injecting DC current through a winding, accurately measuring DC voltage across the winding, and then calculating resistance as the ratio of voltage and current. The device generates true DC ripple-free currents. Both the injection of the current and the discharge of energy from the transformer magnetic circuit are automatically regulated. The instrument has two output DC sources for measuring transformer winding resistance. The first DC source can output a maximum of 2 A DC and is designed for injecting current into the transformer’s high-voltage winding. The second DC source can output a maximum of 10 A DC and is designed for testing the transformer’s low-voltage winding. Having two separate DC sources is especially useful when measuring the winding resistance of distribution transformers. These transformers have a large turns ratio. Because of that, the difference between resistances of high voltage and low voltage windings is very big. This requires different levels of test currents for high-voltage and low-voltage windings. Applications include: winding resistance measurement of distribution and instrument transformers, motors, and generators, and demagnetisation of distribution and instrument transformers, motors, and generators.

  • Single Phase Winding Resistance Meters RMO-TW Series

Single Phase Winding Resistance Meters | RMO-TW Series

Single Phase Winding Resistance Meters - Overview

This series is ideal for measuring the winding resistance of inductive objects. It is perfect for testing transformer windings (power transformers, distribution, autotransformers) and for on-load tap-changer verification. In addition, it can also perform transformer demagnetisation. The series contains 4 models, with maximal test currents from 10 A (RMO10TW) to 50 A (RMO50TW). They are fitted in a portable and lightweight metal housing. Rack-mount available on request. It generates a true DC ripple-free current with an automatically regulated measurement and discharging circuit. The injection of current and discharge of energy from the test object is automatically regulated. Three independent channels enable the testing of three windings in series. Consequently, this enables measurements of winding resistance in every tap position of an on-load tap changer without discharging between the tests. The software enables control and observation of the test process, as well as saving and analysing the results on a PC. It provides a test report, arranged in Excel spreadsheet, PDF, Word, or ASCII format. Additionally, DV-Win measures and calculates the OLTC transition time, the ripple, and the winding resistance for each tap-changing operation.

  • Handheld Turns Ratio Tester TRT-H

Handheld Turns Ratio Tester | TRT-H

Handheld Turns Ratio Tester  - Overview

The TRT-H is a battery operated, handheld, fully automatic test set designed for turns ratio, excitation current and phase shift measurements of transformers. The transformer turns ratio is determined by applying AC voltage across high-voltage winding, accurately measuring AC voltage across the corresponding unloaded transformer winding, and then displaying the ratio of these voltages. The user can enter a transformer’s nameplate voltages, so that the turns ratio deviation can be calculated. This feature eliminates any error otherwise caused by an operator’s manual calculation. It compares measured turns ratio with the nameplate ratio and prints out the % of error for each test. Applications include: Turns ratio measurement of distribution transformers; Turns ratio verification of instrument transformers; Turns ratio deviation calculation; Excitation current measurement of distribution and instrument transformers; Phase angle measurement of distribution and instrument transformers; and Polarity check of instrument transformers.
