Compressed Air VA Flow Meter – Overview

These variable area flowmeters are calibrated for direct reading of compressed air at 7 bar and 20°C. They have metal bodies which operate using a spring loaded orifice moving over a tapered cone, to achieve a variable area meter. Flow is indicated by a magnetic follower ring under a scale on an external glass tube.
