Hot Wire Air Velocity Transmitter - Overview

The Hot Wire Probe measures heat loss of an electrically-heated wire placed in the air stream. When the Hot Wire Probe is placed in an airstream the heat is transmitted from the wire to the air and the temperature of the wire decreases. Resistance of the wire measures the flow rate of the air. This probe is ideal for use in monitoring the HVAC process, environmental control, and clean rooms, as well as laminar flow control.
