Strength Meter - Overview
The Strength Meter is used for strength measurement of solid building and composite materials. It is an Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity tester that detects defects by analysing the propagation of ultrasonic waves. It measures parameters such as strength, density, elastic modulus, and sound index. It has preset settings for the most common materials, eg, heavy and lightweight concrete, and several types of bricks. Individual calibration for a specific material is recommended. It can also measure density indirectly. It also allows users to assess the bearing capacity of reinforced concrete structures, porosity and the presence of cracks that occurred during the manufacture and operation, the texture of composite materials and the degree of anisotropy. It is designed for operation in temperatures from -20 to +40 C °. Thanks to the protective silicone case, the device is shockproof.
